Ok, so same as with the original release: playing on win7 sp1 with directx and the three frameworks provided, running as , I only manage to get the game process to appear briefly, make half a second sound, and gone without a trace. No errors, nothing. It just disappears.
Ideas to fix?
@MisterD when your installing the codex thing just click the textbox “copy contents of CODEX directory to installdir” and that should install it properly.
@Ken I’m not that stupid, man. I let the installer apply the codex fix, didn’t work, I did it manually myself on a different installation by placing the provided files in the proper folder, didn’t work either.
This has to be a library issue, I’m sure.
Would be great to see how to install the updates. Ive tried to run the setup and it keep saying “error has occured while initial scan is selected in directory”
The update.exe will try to update on the default folder the codex version uses by default in every install. Sounds like you changed the install directory for the original, then didn’t provide that same path for the update and therefore the game wasn’t found.
you can play it using the ShooterGame_BE.exe (ShooterGame/Binaries/Win64/).. it needs battlEye to play… let it install and it should run.. i’ve been playing it for 3 days now.. no one is calling you stupid..
So the solution is to install a program that sends every identification, info and data my pc is running on, to a 3rd party that monitors for cheating and piracy?
At the same time you say nobody is calling me stupid. Ok, then.
Is there anyone here that doesn’t want me in a watchlist and probably getting reported to the authorities, that can help me?
